You’ve always wanted to get up and sing in public. But you say, “My voice stinks! I can’t sing! I can’t get up in front of a group and do that!” In Nigeria they say, “If you can talk, you can sing.” Singing in public -- is not about being Sinatra, Streisand, Springsteen, or Stefani. -- is not about “going to Hollywood/Vegas/the next round” so that you can be exploited or disappointed. Sonnets To Orpheus I, 3 by R. M. Rilke translated by H. Landman A god can do it. How do you expect a man to squeeze on through the lyre and follow? His mind is torn. Creatively dancing in a non judgmental atmosphere with others of like minds who are having the same feelings of freedom and expression is intensely energetic. That feeling of being part of a group becoming one with each other through harmonic resonance and inner feelings of acceptance, creativity and belonging is hard to beat. I love listening to music, singing along and dancing to music and I do it as frequently as possi …
